running tirbler streaming on debian/lenny

Hi, ...

I have been trying to build tribler streaming on my debian/lenny laptop, but have had not much success.

i did a make linux_tryout, and everything seemed to build, but when i tryed to run it, i got :

Traceback (most recent call last):

File "tribler_streaming.py", line 30, in ?

import ffmpeg_module

File "/home/sven/powerlinux/ariana/TRIBBLER/triblerstreaming_source/tryout/ffmpeg_module.py", line 25, in ?

import ffmpeg_coreapi

ImportError?: /home/sven/powerlinux/ariana/TRIBBLER/triblerstreaming_source/tryout/ffmpeg_coreapi.so: undefined symbol: XOpenDisplay

Which seems strange, but maybe i am missing a part of the ffmepg.

It also seems strange to me that tribler streaming is trying to build stuff (python, pyrex, ...), while they are packages of them installed locally, which i would prefer to use, which makes me wonder if it would make sense to make a real debian package for tribler (do you already have a tribler packager ?).

Friendly,

Sven Luther

    On some platforms, X11 needs to be explicitly added to the compilation process, to ensure symbols like XOpenDisplay are resolved. Typically, this is solved by adding "X11" to the set of libraries in setup.py:89.
