seeding .tribe file not working?

Hi, I have a tarball file which I would like to make available using tribler.

I have created a .tribe file, and I have one linux PC (on which I have made the .tribe using Tribler) which is switched on, and shows in library that it has the file and is sharing.

Now, on a second Linux PC I copy the .tribe file that I have created on the first, and open it using tribler.

What happens now is that the 2nd PC starts downloading, and the 1st PC starts uploading, but for just a few seconds. After that it all stops....

I have replicated this with several files, also .torrent files. The only time when something happens, is when I 'stop' the download on the 2nd PC, and then 'start' it again.

Both PC's are on totally different networks, have access through all firewalls and are remotely accessed by me.

Any ideas what this could be? Because if this doesn't work properly then I think that a major important feature of tribler is not working..

Best regards, Ron

one day further, just checked out PC #2. It has downloaded 6%, current speed was 0 kb/s.

after pressing stop and then play again (in the tribler library screen), it started downloading for a few secs, and then dropped back to 0 again.

That is odd indeed. A peer is programmed to always request pieces, so there should have been a continuous data flow no matter what. We'll look into it.

Can you send us the logfiles produced by the Tribler client and servers?

Note that the seeder is 4.1.8, the other peer (2nd pc) is 4.1.7. But we experienced the exact same problem earlier with all 4.1.7 machines.

There is no difference between 4.1.7 and 4.1.8 in the relevant code.

But, logfiles would be helpful :)

Ok, where are the log files kept?

And should I send them to your usual email address?
