Updates

Hi there, nice to see a great new forum on the tribler-website. Can someone please let me know when there will be a major update on Tribler? According tot the www.tribler.org/roadmap we should have peer2peer-tv streaming withing the next few days. I can't wait to see that happen!

It seems like the dates for the milestones have been changed, the first milestone is now 3 months away.

Hopefully the team will soon add the goals (and already know bugs) to the tracker, so it will be visible how far they are with a milestone.

      Hi Peter & RHarmsen,

There will be indeed a major update of Tribler. Most changes are "in the inside", we are trying to keep the look-and-feel as much the same as possible in order not to confuse people.

We are thinking of how to create a Beta community which is able to test out new features and help us build towards a new stable version. We are not sure of how the tracker, goal, and bug reports are most effectively used.

      Greetings, Tribler coordinator Johan.

The trac system which currently is used for many projects which are managed with the subversion source control seems to make it easier for developers to see what issues (Bugs, new features.. etc) are needed to be completed before a new version can be rolled out.

Another great thing is, that features/bugs that are not blocking can be moved to a new goal/milestone when a new version is ready.

I am not saying you MUST use the system, but it will give the more advanced users and other developers more up to date with what is going on in the project.
