Bouwkunde demolition cam
>>>>>>> Sep 3th: We have to return our borrowed camera, no more broadcast, sorry! <<<<<The tribler team is streaming live video of the demolition of the architecture faculty. The stream is provided through the Swarmplayer, a peer-2-peer live video player developed by the tribler team. The swarmplayer is open-source software. More information about the swarmplayer can be found on the Tribler website.
Note that this is a Beta release of the Swarmplayer. The release is under active development.
The video feed will show the demolition of the architecture faculty from a camera positioned on the 9th floor at the EWI faculty.
How to start live streaming?
- Download the latest Swarmplayer installer (Updated: 4-6-2008, 11:17)
- Download the stream file (Updated: 21-05-2008, 15:23)
- Install the swarmplayer on your computer
- Drag-and-drop the stream file in the swarmplayer or click on the stream file
Peer-2-peer video
The swarmplayer uses peer-2-peer technology to distribute video files or streams. When playing video on the swarmplayer, you will help other viewers by uploading part of the video stream to them. Therefore, you should leave the swarmplayer running in your taskbar. Helping other swarmplayer users only works when you are not behind a firewall. If you are in the position to open your firewall or forward ports to your swarmplayer, we advice you to do so. By right-clicking on the swarmplayer icon in your taskbar, you can find the active port and you can set the maximum upload speed.
